Tommy HO 爵士結他工作坊

澳門爵士樂推廣協會邀請香港著名爵士結他手Tommy Ho來澳舉辦工作坊，將於9月28號（星期六）下午六點正於官樂怡基金會畫廊（澳門南灣大馬路759號地下）舉行。

Tommy Ho為香港全方位的職業結他手，早於80年代於美國Dick Grove College音樂學院及Musician Institute結他學院（G.I.T.）畢業，師從 Joe Pass、Larry Carlton、Robben Ford、Howard Roberts、Jo Diorio、Don Mock 及 Pat Martino 等大師。回港後他擔任唱片公司的結他手、製作人及編曲，當中包括WEA、 Capital Artist、Fitto Entertainments及BMG等接近二十年。近年他回歸到自己的爵士根源並積極與本地及來自世界各地的樂手作演出。另外他也舉辦工作坊及從事教學工作，足蹟遍及港澳及內地。

澳門爵士樂推廣協會希望透過舉辦不同型式的活動及邀請專業樂手來澳，提升本澳樂手及觀眾的水平，發揮澳門的多元文化特色，並提供本地爵士樂愛好者的交流平台。

Macau Jazz Promotion Association (MJPA) is inviting Tommy Ho, renowned Hong Kong guitarist, to give a clinic in Macau, at 6:00pm on 28th Sept, at Rui Runha Foundation Gallery (Avenida da Praia, N 759, R/C).

Tommy Ho is a professional guitarist from Hong Kong, he studied and graduated from Dick Grove College of Music and G.I.T.(USA) in the 80‘s. He had been studying with masters like Joe Pass, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Howard Roberts, Jo Diorio, Don Mock, and Pat Martino.

For almost 20 years, Tom had been working as in-house producer, arranger and guitarist for a number of major recording labels like WEA, Capital Artist, Fitto Entertainments, and BMG, etc in Hong Kong. Recently Tom is back to his Jazz root and start gigging at local Jazz clubs with groups and musicians from all over the world. On the other side Tom teaches music in his own studio and giving seminars, clinics and workshops around Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China.

MJPA hopes to help raising the level of local musicians and audiences by holding various kinds of activity and inviting professional musicians to Macau, bringing out the multi-cultural characteristic of Macau while providing a platform for jazz lovers.
